PeopleShores has announced the opening of its second location in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Murali Vullaganti, Chief Executive Officer of PeopleShores and co-founder of RuralShores, was presented the key to the city by, Mayor Chuck Espy. PeopleShores is a technology company specializing in image processing, data collection and service management. According to the article written in Mississippi Today, PeopleShores targets communities with a high number of disconnected young adults, military bases with unemployed veterans, Native American reservations with unemployed youth, and dilapidated industry towns. PeopleShores began training for positions beginning January 2019 and estimates it will bring in 200 jobs within the next few years. When asked about PeopleShores, David Moxam, said, “To assist undeserved communities, you have to make a measurable impact. It can’t just be a newspaper article, it has to be a sustainable impact. In order to have a sustainable impact, you have to create the jobs … employment has to be a big part of it.” Moxam, is a Senior Advisor and partner at Manti Holdings and Co-founder of Malibu IQ, LLC, a Manti ventures company. Joe Mistich and Sister Judith Brun from Manti’s outreach program Take Care and Tommy’s Place, also attended in support.
